Everyone loves Gerard Darel, especially this sporty and functional everyday Barcelona style. You can imagine how excited I got when I heard of this sale through ideeli. How stunning is this calf hair bag from Gerard Darel? It is one of my favorite moderate price brands and they continue to please with this beautiful, sleek and sophisticated everyday, every occasion carry all. This is truly the bag to get for those who don't want trendy and don't want to get caught up spending thousands on a soon to be irrelevant "editor's" favorite. This is my Cheap Thrills pick for this week because it is only $995 for calf hair, although you are only saving cash because this baby is worth double its price in style. We love Gerard Darel and I am so glad to see an exotic done on a casual everyday bag. How much more fabulous can it be to be able to walk around and do your daily mundane things with a super amazing exotic? Of course, there is no reason why you couldn't go around in your croc Birkin everyday but I just love that busting out an exotic is no longer reserved for precious, special occasions where everything has to be just so. You can do the silver python (in the Hollywood style) to go with your winter wardrobe of muted colors, the silver is perfect so as to not muddle navies and black with a brown or black bag. Nothing is more perfect than natural python for colors, it will go so nicely with all the purple that's out there! Even for something boring and black, the natural python will give your look a kick. We first featured Gerard Darel last July to much fanfare. We even picked it as one of the top 10 bags of the year. These bags are hugely popular in Europe and is now getting ample attention in Hollywood with Eva Longoria toting them around recently (Gerard Darel is her favorite boutique in Paris). This new Soho bag for fall, appropriately named for being downtown city chic, is ultra cool with patent leather and the signature ruched sides. The interesting zippers and flap pocket give it that lower east side look. I totally love this bag, it's cute and bad ass all at the same time (just like how I think of myself!). Speaking of Gerard Darel, I am anxiously awaiting the entry of the boutiques into the United States as I'm sure all of you are. My friends and I have coveted the line of hip and understated bags for years, snatching them up by the truckload everytime we are in Paris. Check out the latest goodies, the Savannah bag in Rosewood on left is just the thing a girl needs to update her wardrobe without looking too trendy. A blush pink-y brown, it's such a groovin' bag to dash around town with! And the Violet hued quilted 24 hour lambskin bag, is that not just fabulous? I love the butter soft "Portobello" range of lambskin bags, what a fantastic addition to the line! All you stylish girls out there are in for a treat. We told you how hot Gerard Darel is so you will scream with delight for this glam and fab affordable satchel. Seriously, for $350 you can't even get a decent Coach or Furla but why would you want to? Trust us ladies, if you are hip and stylish with no access to a trust fund, you MUST get this bag.
